What are clear aligners?
Clear aligners is a BPA-free clear plastic tray that is worn to straighten teeth. It's a series of sequential aligners that you wear 22 hours a day. Every two weeks, you change into a new tray. Each tray is shaped differently in order to guide your teeth into a more desirable and attractive positon. They are very comfortable to wear as they are tailor-made to fit over your teeth. They don't have any pieces sticking out like the old metal brackets or wires that might poke into the lips, tongue, or cheeks. You remove them when you eat things, so you can eat what you want.

How long does it take?
Everyone is different, but the average length of treatment is 3-6 months.
Is there an age requirement?
You must have all your adult teeth in order to be approved by one of our doctors. We require parental consent if you are under 18.
How long do I wear them for and does it hurt?
The aligners are designed to worn 22 hours a day, so you wear them all night, all day and they're only removed for brushing and eating. You should feel slight pressure when you first start a new tray. The pressure will fade after the first few days.
I still have my wisdom teeth, can I use Ziffy?
Please follow your dentist's recommendation. If they think that you should have them extracted before clear aligner therapy then have it done first.
Am I still a candidate if I have a bridge or implant?
Absolutely, once you order the impression kit, let us know where the bridge or implant is and we will let you know if you are a candidate. If you are not we will fully refund you the impression kit.
